Jane Greco Deming currently serves as Founder and Principal Consultant at Jane Greco Deming & Associates.  Her business was founded in 2011 and is based in Hope, Rhode Island since. Previously, she was the Director of Education for American Humane Association. Jane spent fourteen years as Director of Education at the Providence Animal Rescue League, and one year as Interim Director.  Additionally, Jane’s 40 years of experience includes 11 years as Curator of Education at RWP Zoo and 4 years as an HSUS Zoo investigator. 

Jane studied Business Management at Johnson & Wales University, received her Association of Zoos & Aquarium Certification in Zoo Management through North Carolina State University, and was a federally licensed and certified wildlife rehabilitator for 30 years. Jane was also a founding member of the Rhode Island Disaster Animal Response Team (RIDART) and is a certified  animal disaster responder.  She oversaw that program with the State Veterinarian for over 6 years. 

Jane is well respected both locally and nationally for her networking skills, the creation of many innovative programs and projects in her field.  She is also an experienced national speaker with a reputation for presenting powerful and informative programs.   

Jane's work has been featured in multiple publications including USA Today, The Latham Letter, Animal Sheltering Magazine, ASPCA publications, The Warwick Beacon, The Association of Professional Humane Educator’s newsletter The Packrat, the nationally syndicated Mini Page and many more. She has been a successful grant writer as well. She serves on boards including Southwick’s Zoos’ Earth Ltd Zoo Education Project, and is  former Vice President of the Association of Professional Humane Educators, now serving as an advisor and was a member of the Rhode Island Feral Cat Working Group. She shares her Scituate home with her husband and pets, and enjoys spending time in the garden and with her family.
